The San Marco putting green is a 40×18 foot (550 sq ft) custom backyard installation completed by page-3192413 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Design and Layout

  • Owner-Led Design: Designed by Jon Tasch, a low-handicap golfer and owner of Grass!365 Jacksonville, adhering to corporate standards.
  • Maximizing Space: Cups are strategically tucked into corners to provide the longest possible putts, chips, and pitches, ensuring unobstructed ball paths.
  • Championship Quality: Built to mimic a championship bent grass green, suitable for players ranging from weekend amateurs to major champions.

Technical & Drainage Features

  • Water Management: Precise shaping ensures water flows positively off the green in all directions rather than pooling on the playing surface.
  • Undulations: The base is shaped with challenging contours and character while maintaining realistic playability.
  • Physical Constraints: Backyard designs lock in outside elevations and boundaries, requiring experienced grading compared to traditional golf courses.
